Neck liposuction can improve neck definition, reduce the appearance of fullness or a “double chin,” and enhance jawline contour. Patients often notice a slimmer, more refined lower face and neck. Ideal candidates for neck liposuction are individuals with excess fat in the neck or under the chin who have good skin tone and elasticity. Candidates should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations. In cases of significant skin laxity or muscle banding, additional procedures may be recommended to achieve optimal results.

Neck liposuction targets the submental area beneath the chin and the upper neck. Treatment may also extend along the jawline to improve overall contour and definition.

Neck liposuction is performed through small, discreet incisions typically placed beneath the chin or behind the ears. A fine cannula is used to gently remove excess fat while preserving surrounding structures. The procedure may be performed under local anesthesia with or without sedation, or under general anesthesia, depending on patient comfort and whether it is combined with other facial procedures. Recovery is generally well tolerated, with gradual improvement in contour as swelling resolves.
